Google Dismisses Any Recent Major Algorithm Update
Google is continuing to create sensational news. The latest rumour is that webmasters have felt sharp ranking declines or sudden increase in their rankings. Even tracking tools are suggested to show volatile behaviour. For example, Google tracking tools such as Accuranker, SERP Metrics, RankRanger and Advanced Web Rankings are exhibiting explosive temperament.
But Google executives are reassuring everyone
that Google weather in respect to algorithms is quite calm and steady. Top
senior web analysts working for Google have reported that they haven’t met any
webmaster or web developer with complaints against sudden ranking changes.
Google webmasters John Mueller and Gary Illyes confirm that slight changes are
always happening in Google, but no major algorithm update has happened since Penguin.
But, reports are also pouring in that the
second edition of the ‘mobile friendly’ algorithm update has been fully rolled
out. This was announced by John Mueller on May 12th, 2016. Way back in the month of March, Google had
decided to enhance the mobile friendly update for the benefit of mobile users.
Thus, we can only speculate that the slight changes mentioned by senior heads
of Google may be pointing towards the rolled out version of mobile friendly
algorithm, which happened in the start of May.
The changing history of the Google algorithm
world has to be seen to be believed. Every year, Google manages to bring
massive changes in its search result algorithm (more than 500 times). While
many of the changes are negligible, crucial algorithm updates like Google
Penguin or Panda have affected lives of websites in more ways than one.
Marketers keeping a tab on Google search
history know that such Google updates are done to keep up the quality of the
search results, increase organic website traffic and improve the quality of
SEO. You may come across hundreds of search market blogs or websites that
showcase key algorithm changes, which have created significant impact on the
search results.
Online
news and web developer reports have added to the confusion. Has Google made any
major changes or rolled out a hefty update in its entirety? Or is it just the
season of small changes adding up to create a great disturbance in the search
result rankings?
