Is Google Penguin 4.0 Coming in March 2016?

All of Google’s updates, in the past, have had major effects on the business community, as the updates do away with all the websites which employ doubtful means to up their rankings. This has alarmed all businessmen that their hardwork and following of guidelines will prove fruitful to them as this will see a rise in the rankings. Google Webmaster Analyst Gary Illyes, said on Twitter that we could expect to see the new Google update “Penguin” be released sometime this year, which is wonderful news for all those SEO consultants who follow guidelines and stick to the right path.

Expected Impact

It will improve the search engine in so many ways, as it will work with hand in hand with the live index, just like Panda before it. The Penguin update was first released in 2012, and it caused a lot of stirrups, as websites which weren’t going according to specified SEO guidelines had now been erased from search results. This update is designed to improve on spam link tactics, and keep a check on the quality of links on a website.

It is quite obvious that once this update is released, it will pose a problem for all black-hats who do not stick to the guidelines. Penguin 4.0, which is rumored to be released this year, is to be a real-time update, which means that portions of this update will be live and updating all the time. Since a lot of spam links and other acts of spamming still exist on the internet. Google says that it is now making it more difficult for black-hat marketers to find success. Once Penguin starts working in real-time, it will now make it easier for the algorithm to detect spam profiles, hence keeping these spam sites from achieving good rankings in SEO.

It is not certain when this update will be released, but it will most certainly be released sometime in 2016.
